A horse walks into a wine bar…

Horses running at Casa Silvas lago Ranco Estate

I used to be scared of horses. I had what is known as Hippophobia (fear of horses) Then I moved to Chile. Chile has horses everywhere.  Within two years of living here I was actually riding horses. I am not very good and cause great amusement to most people here when I climb on the wrong side, or fall off whilst trying to make a photograph  riding up a mountain.

As a photographer who shoots many wine related images, working with horses is part of the deal.

In the Chilean wine industry horses are used in a lot of ways. Here I have tried to show some of the uses these four legged animals have in connection to wine.

As a last note, Chile last week won the Polo World Cup. Beating the UK on the way.

Do try to resist stealing these images. They are all under ©. However I do earn quite a bit of money each year from chasing up people who illegally upload my work. It’s normally about ten times more to pay when you get caught then when you pay up front.
